EARS
Meets At SYMPHONY CENTER
Teusday, 1/30/01
312-294-3294
OK,here's
the secret plan: [1] Enter at 67 E.Adams -next to the "Russian
Tea Time". [2] Use the password "EARS" at the security desk from
7:15 - 9:00 pm *. [3] Go directly to the WFMT recording booth
(phone 1-312-294-3294, if you get "so-confused"). There's discount-
ed night parking at the Grant Park South Garage if you enter on
Michigan Ave. for about 10 or 11 bucks or get off CTA subway /
"Loop - L" @ Monroe/Adams. [4] be regaled !
Agenda:
After our typical "earlybird-breif-pre-meeting-friendly schmooze",
we'll continue our (now annual ?) "Tribute to the 2-mic'ers" with
our esteemed hosts: Chris Willis & Mary Mazurek. After a short
discussion on this fidelity-proven, minimalist approach to capturing
a live performance, we'll tour this spacious facility that's hosted
everybody from Yo Yo Ma to yo mama, so don't be too late*. As
before, Tux & Brie optional .
Appreciation
File: Sincere thanks, again to our sponsor, "Dandy" Don Morris
of BASF and "Hey,don't forget about me" Harry Brotman for their
help with our annual Jeff Hamilton Memorial party which was at
Reza's this year resulting from my party location survey at the
November meeting. Great idea: Blaise (our Nov. Host), Davey Moss,
Dan & Barb ! As the Dave Matthews' song goes: "We ate too much,
drank too much", (Harry & Hudson ) talked too much and "Clever"
Craig (our diligent Treasurer) dumped, I mean brought "da- books".
Special thanx to "Caustic" Kathy Dunaj & "Troubled" Toshi Iseda
for the way-raunchy holiday(!?) humor that made even well-complected
me & Danny Leake blush ! EARS comraderie' did abound. Thanx also
to all of you who've offered support, sympathy and appreciation
in my now 2nd prison, er, Presidential term.
- 'nuff said,
Gary Khan
