EARS meets at Rax Trax Recording

3128 N. Greenview, Chicago
773-871-6566
Tuesday, February 24th, 7:30pm

We address the recent barrage of equipment thefts suffered by 5 separate EARS comrades from here to Vegas, most of whom will be in attendance! Be sure to check your member emails and/or your EARS website for gear list and details on these bastardly, dastardly deeds! We'll share experiences, various methods of prevention & retrieval. Arrrgh - it's time for EARS cats to come together and look out for each other as we've recently done and will continue so bring your favorite weapon and goon referrals heh, heh! We'll follow with a tour of EARS buddy Rick Barnes' newly upgraded SSL/Euphonix 2 room facility. Hit the cool and likewise renovated raxtrax.com site for directions to this Lakeview location near the Lincoln, Belmont, Ashland intersection

Appreciation File:
Thanks to '04 Grammy nominated engineers Bill Maylone & our host, Chris Willis for the detailed, informative discussion and look at the recording facility. Credos to Brian Young for the exclusive behind [& above!] the scenes as well.

[Just in] c/o Tim Powell's in our conversation, I contacted Gary [Cobb], & Dina at ARS in Alsip arsstudios.com 800-734-8856

Seems some brazen bastards pocketed a Neumann M-149 [s/n 00443] during a studio "tour" but the idiots forgot to grab the power supply. Here's the kicker - these mutants actually had the brass camarones to return and try to grab the supply! The staff attempted to hinder there escape but they apparently broke out a door. This happened just before we spoke yesterday [Th.] Details at the meeting!
