Saturday - October 29 2005 - 4:30pm

LOCATION:
The Beckman Center (known for their virtual reality research) on the University of Illinois Campus, Champaign, IL. Visit the online maps:
I57 to Beckman Center
Beckman Center to Pogo Studio

DIRECTIONS FROM CHICAGO:
I-57 S. to University Ave. Exit (E) Follow University Avenue probably four or five miles, the Beckman Center takes up nearly a block between Wright and Mathews, it will be on your right. Take the next right after the Beckman onto Mathews, and park in the structure immediately to your left or on the street. We will meet at the East facing door of the Beckman.

Then we will convene at Pogo Recording Studio owned by long time member Mark Rubel. Pogo Studio is at 35 Taylor Street, Champaign, IL 61820-4020. Phone: (217) 351-8155.   Pogo Studio Website

DIRECTIONS TO POGO STUDIO:
From I-57S, take the University Ave. exit (E), and follow University into downtown Champaign (a couple of miles). Turn left onto Walnut St. (the next light after Neil- it's one way) for two blocks, and then turn right onto Main St. at the Skins 'n Tins Drum Shop. Take the next right onto Market St., then take the next right onto Taylor St.- the studio is the bright red door halfway down the block on your left. There's a doorbell/intercom just next to the door- push for doorbell only, no need to push to talk.

PARKING FOR POGO STUDIO:
Don't park in the parking lot across the street, or in the loading zone right in front of the studio. There are various parking lots in the neighborhood - no need to feed the meters on weekends.

PLACES TO STAY:
If you don't want to make the drive to and from in one day, there are a number of hotels and motels in the area and also the inexpensive Robeson Hall where you can stay.
