EARS MEETS AT Randolph Wine Cellar/Tasting Room
1415 West Randolph Street Chicago, IL
[312] 942-1313
LOCATION:
Let's go with an idea suggested by Fran Allen-Leake:
The Randolph Wine Cellar/Tasting Room on Randolph and Ogden.
"It has a get together, bar area that has food, drinks and, of course, wine.
It has free parking and has a very intimate feel that would probably work for
us. It also has two floors."
Their website has all the
pertinent info including a map.
We're keeping this real low key. I'll be there at 7:30 and try to pace myself
(it's going to be difficult) to last the evening and still drive home to the
burbs.
Some of you, I'm not even quite sure I've met formally, so if you're there on
the early side... ask at the door for the EARS table (which might start out as
just me at the bar...)
Thanks and see you there

"Many years ago, a handful of Chicago engineers gathered at an AES show
in New York realizing that they met more away from town than they did back
at home. The concept of EARS was born: a monthly social get-together where
competitors could meet in an atmosphere of fun and friendship, to talk about
gear, business, and music."
Hey Hey!
We have no particular meeting arranged for this month. We've been working on
some good ideas, but the preferred parties and locations involved just don't
line up. Even a great backup plan fell through!
So I propose, in the spirit of this quote straight from our very own mission
statement, that anyone who has set next Tuesday aside for an EARS meeting
contact me directly at Archmart@comcast.net
and we'll see if we can't just meet somewhere for dinner and talk "gear,
business, and music". I for one would rather spend the evening hanging out with
EARS members (past, present or prospective!) than to just let the night go.
Email me if you're interested. I'll look through responses and start trying to
pick a place sometime over the weekend so please let me know ASAP and when you
do, let me know what part of town is most convenient for you and if you have
any specific prefs. I'll do my best to try to make it happen somewhere easy for
as many as possible.
Thanks,
